T-Mobile Galaxy Note II users, it’s time to start your update engines. As promised earlier on its website, the carrier has released the firmware update T889UVALK8 for its Galaxy Note II handset. Android OS version remains at v4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The update contains long awaited multi-screen window functionality to 5.5-inch sized phablet. Recently launched Verizon connected Galaxy Note II (last among the U.S. carriers) shipped with this split screen window mode out of the box.
The other changes coming along with the update are including:
# Resolves Exchange calendar events not appearing on device Calendar
# Resolves issues with being unable to swipe through Gmail messages
The entire update process should take around 10 minutes to complete. If you’re a owner of the T-Mobile connected Note II phablet, and don’t feel like waiting for the update to be pushed can check for it manually by connecting to Wi-Fi and hitting up Settings –> Phone Update –> Check Now for updates on your device.
