Z10 to be the first BlackBerry 10 OS smartphone from RIM

As you may have already heard that RIM, popularly known as the developer of BlackBerry smartphones and handsets will introduce its latest mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10 on January 30, 2013 along with two smartphones running this OS. In new reports, the name of one of the first Blackberry 10 device has been revealed today.

According to marketing material obtained by UnwiredView, it is claimed that the formerly expected name of the first BlackBerry smartphone, the L-Series will likely be called as the “BlackBerry Z10”. The device is expected to be available in black and white. Further, it is also reported that they have some evidence that the name of another type of QWERTY keyboard BlackBerry Smartphone will be the “BlackBerry X10”.

Recently, RIM’s CMO stated that more than 70000 apps will be available at BlackBerry 10 launch and will have one of the best in class browser in parallel to iOS and Android.

Currently there is no further information about its pricing but it has been confirmed that the device will be unveiled in New York. Recently, RIM sent out media invitations for a special event to be held in New York on January 30 where it will officially unveil BlackBerry 10 smartphones and its brand-new operating system.

Even though BlackBerry 10 OS powered devices aren’t unveiled yet, Rogers Canada have opened up reservation for the BlackBerry 10 Devices to its users.
