Yesterday AT&T announced that the Multi-Windows feature update will be available for download beginning December 27. As expected the update is now available for download Over The Air (OTA).
AT&T Announced, “AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active “windows” creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27.”
Better late than never, A&T has become the the last of the four major carriers in the US to deliver the update that allows Multi-Window split screen feature for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. This feature has become one of the mos anticipated where it enables one to multi-task in the real sense and allows you to take full advantage of the 5.5-inch huge display on the Galaxy Note 2.
Major differences are seen with the Multi-Window feature on the Note II and the QSlide on the LG Optimus G. Though both are aimed at multi-tasking, in QSlide two apps are on the full screen at the same time, and one becomes more translucent and the other becomes more solid looking by using a virtual slider. Whereas in the Note II, the screen displays both windows by cutting the screen in to half to use two apps at once.
In order to download, just check for updates on your AT&T Galaxy Note II.
