Recently, Huawei’s Chairman, Richard Yu showed off its upcoming flagship device at a Huawei store in Guangzhou, China. Today, we get some new images of the device, Huawei Ascend Mate which were posted on Chinese Website, MyDrivers.
The 6.1-inch device has a curved design, its body is very light and thin, and screen display is very good. The device is expected to be powered by a 1.8 GHz HiSilicon K3V3 Quad-Core Processor, a 13 MP rear camera, 2 GB of RAM, a 4000 mAh battery. It will be body thickness of less than 9.9mm, equipped with a 1080p Full HD touch screen. The device’ screen may have LTPS (Low Temperature Ploy Silicon) type display. Along with the photos, a leaked advertisement for the Ascend Mate has also been seen. Huawei is now planning to compete the device with Korean mobile manufacturer’s flagship device Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
There is no argument that Huawei will debut the 6.1-inch flagship device at the CES. We have already known that the same manufacturer is also planning to unveil another flagship device Huawei Ascend D2 and it is expected to make an appearance at CES which is scheduled from January 8 to 11, 2013.
According to Chinese website Sina Weibo, Ascend Mate will be priced under CNY 3,000, which translates to approximately $480. But we are not sure whether the said price is the accurate or not. So, take the info with a grain of salt. We will bring you more updates with the actual price info soon.
