Just a few hours ago, Chinese mobile manufacturer, Huawei has unveiled its two Quad Core Android smartphones at CES 2013: Huawei Ascend Mate and Ascend D2. Today, Huawei product manager Richard Bhudhikanok showed off another device, the Huawei Ascend W1 at the CES 2013 event. The device is their first Windows Phone 8 device and it is packed with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 5 MP camera, a 1,950mAh battery, a 4-inch IPS display, 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card that can expand the storage up to 32 GB. It supports HSPA+ but it has no 4G LTE.
Richard has stated that this low-end Windows Phone, Ascend W1 isn’t the only Windows Phone 8 device, they are also working to manufacture another WP8 handset. The new handset will be similar to the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate Android smartphone. The Ascend Mate smartphone is powered by Huawei-made 1.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon Processor, equipped with a 6.1-inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a massive 4,050 mAh battery.
Huawei is planning to launch two more “innovative“ devices at Mobile Congress 2013 in Barcelona. This upcoming WP8 handset is expected to be launched at the event.
Even though Huawei mentioned about the upcoming WP8 device, but they didn’t reveal when this new 6.1-inch device will be debuted and where the device will be available.
