A few hours ago, French Consumer Electronics manufacturer, Archos unveiled the Archos Family Pad 2 tablet at CES 2013. It is not the only device that they have introduced at event. They had also showed off two other tablets as well. One is the Archos Platinum and another is the Archos GamePad.
The Archos 97 Platinum tablet has a 9.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels (which is around 264 pixels per inch), 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage but it can be expanded by using microSD card. The tablet is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile Operating system. This tablet also has 2MP camera at the front and back of the device like the Archos FamilyPad 2 has, which is also an Android powered tablet.
Another Android tablet, the Archos GamePad is equipped with a dual-core A9 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, a quad-core MALI 400 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. This GamePad is easy to use and seems to work efficiently with most games. It allows mapping of physical controls directly to the screen using a drag and drop interface.
The Archos 97 Platinum is expected to hit the US and European stores in March and the GamePad will hit UK and US stores in February.
