Yesterday at CES 2013, South-Korean manufacturer, Samsung introduced their brand new Exynos processor called Exynos 5 Octa processor. Now it’s turn for the Chinese manufacturer, Huawei!

Huawei’s Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu has stated that they will be producing Octo-Core Cortex A-15 chips in the second half of this year. The manufacturer is also planning to release a HI Silicon K3V3 chipset which is the follow-up to the current quad-core K3V2. This K3V3 chipset will be featured in the successors to the Huawei Ascend D2 and the Huawei Ascend Mate.

At the ongoing CES, Chinese mobile manufacturer Huawei introduced three new devices: the Huawei Ascend D2, Huawei Ascend Mate and Huawei Ascend W1. The first two devices are Android tablets and last one is the first Windows Phone 8 device from Huawei.

Huawei will also reveal about a super slim P-series Smartphone model at MWC which will be held in Barcelona next month. The device will be thinner than the 6.45mm Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra. It will be running Google’s Android mobile operating system and will also sport a metallic body. Yet, the manufacturer didn’t reveal more info regarding the version of Android operating system to run the slim P-Series model. We guess Huawei will reveal more info soon, since the MWC event is coming around the corner.
