According to “Tech Crunch”, at a press event scheduled on Tuesday, Facebook will reveal something related to mobile devices such as a Facebook phone, or a new Facebook Mobile OS.
Back in November, “Pocket-lint” confirmed the existence of a true Facebook phone. The device is being manufactured by Facebook Inc. and now the device is in development. From a benchmark result, it was claimed that the device is codenamed as HTC Opera UL. The device was listed as an “OEM product” for Facebook. It means HTC is manufacturing device for another company like HTC made the Nexus One for Google.
If Facebook introduce a Facebook phone at the event, you can guess that the Facebook phone will sport a 720p high resolution screen, a 1.4GHz CPU (it may come with a dual-core S4) and an Adreno 305 GPU. It is also expected that the device will be running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean under the hood.
But Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has denied the existence of the Facebook phone. So, it is expected that what Facebook will reveal on Tuesday won’t be an actual Facebook phone, it may be something related to the mobile platform like Facebook mobile Operating system.
A Facebook messenger app for the Apple iPad will be introduced at the press event. This app will give you to share photos, location tagging, group messaging etc., and a new voice recording messaging feature will also available for the Apple iPhone.
We’ll let you know whether Facebook will introduce either Facebook phone or Facebook mobile OS at the event. Stay tuned.
