Verizon’s Samsung SCH-I425 "Godiva" gets benchmarked; 720p Display, Android 4.1.2 in tow

Samsung SCH-I425 ‘Godiva’ Benchmark Results

CES is over in Las Vegas and with MWC scheduled for next month in Barcelona, there will be plenty of leaks happening about upcoming smartphones. According to newly submitted benchmark results, Samsung has begun new Android smartphone production of some kind. An unknown handset called, Samsung SCH-I425, currently codenamed Godiva, has been spotted over at GLBenchmark on its way to Verizon Wireless.

It made its appearance on GLBenchmark featuring some pretty decent hardware specs, including an unspecified display with 720p (1280×720 pixels) resolution, dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 4G LTE connectivity and running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, carrying the build number JZO54K. The device is also expected to have on-screen navigation buttons and a 5-row QWERTY keyboard.

Assuming that these are not fake specs and based on the model number SCH-I425 of this mysterious handset, we believe that the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere III is already in the works now as a successor to the Galaxy Stratosphere II, that was launched in November last year with out-dated WVGA display and low-end hardware. The model numbers for the first-gen and second-gen Stratosphere devices were SCH-I405 and SCH-I415 respectively.

Samsung SCH-I425 ‘Godiva’ for Verizon

Well, that’s just a guess. If Samsung SCH-I425 is real, it could be a new “Galaxy Stratosphere” set for launching on Verizon Wireless. Hopefully, we’ll know more about the device in the near future. So check back with us at a later date for more information on “Godiva”.
