On Saturday at an event in South East Asia, Sony Mobile announced that they will be offering their devices Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia ZL in South East Asia. These two smartphones were unveiled at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.
The Sony Xperia Z smartphone is packed with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core processor, a rear-facing 13MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile and video HDR mode, 2GB of RAM, a 2300mAh battery and NFC. The device comes with a high-level of dust (IP5X) and water resistance (IPX5/7), running Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box.
Another Smartphone Xperia ZL sports a 5-inch 1080p HD Reality display with 1920 by 1080 pixels of resolution, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8064 Quad Core processor running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, a 13MP main camera with Exmor RS sensor for mobile and HD video, Full HD front 2MP camera with Exmor R sensor, 16 GB of internal storage and a micro SD slot which can extend the memory up to 64 GB, 2GB of RAM, micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, NFC, 4G LTE and more.
The Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will be available in Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam before the end of Q1 and it is likely to be introduced in other regions as well shortly. The Sony Xperia Z will be available in three different colors: Black, White and Purple but the Sony Xperia ZL will be available in Black and White color only. In Vietnam, the Sony Xperia ZL will be available in Black color only.
Although Sony announced the availability of the smartphones in the aforementioned regions, there is no word regarding the official price tag of the devices yet.
