Motorola X phone

Recently, a rumor had been rolled out around the upcoming Motorola X phone. The device is expected to come with a 5-inch edge-to-edge display but it is likely smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S III. The device is reportedly be unveiled at Google I/O in May.

Today, from a new report, it has been revealed that the Motorola X phone could be unveiled on July 8. The device will be heading to different carriers. The X phone is claimed to be available for $299 by signing a contract agreement with Verizon. Although the report didn’t mention the specific pricing details for other carriers, you can expect that the device will be offered by other carriers nearly in the same range of Verizon’s pricing tag.

The device seems to be running Google mobile OS’s future version Android 5.0.0, rumored to be named Key Lime Pie. In November last year, a Sony device bearing model number LT30i was spotted online at NenaMark Benchmark running this future Android version.

The device may come with some bloatware as usual but can be removed once unlocked. Google Play will also be selling the device unlocked, which will also have an unlocked bootloader. But Verizon contract devices can be unlocked at a charge for $15 per month.
