Yesterday, from two Korean agencies’ report, we came to know that LG’s much rumored device Optimus G Pro exists, but earlier the device was called the LG Optimus G2 smartphone. Now, the LG Optimus Pro has been unveiled for Japan. The announcement of the device is coming from Japanese carrier, NTT DoCoMo and their customers will be able to pick up the Optimus G Pro in early April.
The LG Optimus G Pro sports a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded via a microSD slot. In order to run the device, LG packs a high-capacity 3,000mAh battery. The LG Optimus G Pro smartphone is running Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system under the hood.
The device is packed with a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, measuring a 139mm x 70mm x 10mm and weighing around 160 grams. It will be available in Platinum White and Indigo Black color.
We had earlier reported that the LG Optimus G Pro will apparently be heading to NTT DoCoMo bearing the model number L-04E, and upgrade to the Optimus G.
There’s no further report regarding the availability of the device in other countries and DoCoMo didn’t reveal the price tag of the device yet. More details are awaited.
