A couple of days ago, Apple has released the the 5th beta version of the iOS 6.1 for the developers, who are registered with Apple’s iOS developer program. Today, the Cupertino based company has released final stable version of the iOS 6.1, bringing the LTE support for 36 additional carriers offering the iPhone, as well as 23 carriers offering the iPad tablet.
Apple has also updated Siri virtual assistant, which lets you to purchase movie tickets through Fandango app. This is the same feature we talked about months ago and this feature is currently available in the U.S. only. iTunes Match subscribers will be able to download individual songs from iCloud after the update, and there’s a new reset button for the Advertising Identifier.
The update is rolling out for the iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the fourth and fifth generation iPod touch devices.
With this update, Apple TV users will get the new Bluetooth keyboard compatibility, which enhances the Apple TV experience. It also includes new iOS 3.1 APIs for developers.
Users will be able to install iOS 6.1 updates iTunes or over the air using the "Software Update" feature in a device’s Settings menu > General > Software Update. You can also grab the downloads for your devices by hitting the proper links below.
