Yesterday, BlackBerry officially announced their brand new mobile operating system for Blackberry devices along with its two new smartphones, BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 in New York. Just after the manufacturer launched their mobile products, Verizon announced in a press release that they will carry the BlackBerry Z10 on their networks and it will be priced at $199.99, along with a two-year contract.
This time, another US carrier, AT&T has released a press release stating that they will be offering the new BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones powered by BlackBerry 10 OS. The BlackBerry Z10 is packed with a 4.2-inch WXGA screen with a dual-core Krait CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. The other one, BlackBerry Q10 has a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED 720x720p display powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU with a QWERTY Keyboard.
Among the US carriers, AT&T was the first carrier to offer BlackBerry smartphones and its related services in the US. Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices and Developer Services, AT&T Mobility stated that “The new BlackBerry 10 platform is a fresh take on today’s smartphones with all the key features BlackBerry fanatics need, including a refreshed version of RIM’s unbeatable email solution, a better browser experience and easy access to all their messages in BlackBerry Hub.”
There is no official information on pricing details or availability yet. But it is expected that in the US, the devices will be available in different carriers by mid March, priced at $199.99 on contract.
