You might have already known that jailbreak is the process of removing the limitations on Apple devices running the iOS operating system through the use of software and hardware exploits. It permits root access to the iOS operating system, allowing the download of additional applications, extensions, and themes that are unavailable through the official Apple App Store.
Apple’s upcoming jailbreak is called Evasi0n. Earlier, the hacking team, Evad3rs confirmed that the jailbreak will be made available on Sunday, February 3. But today from a new report, it has been confirmed that slightly later than our expected date, the Jailbreak will be made available on Monday. The information was tweeted from Evaders account, planetbeing confirming that on Monday we will see the concrete release of the untethered jailbreak.
You can note that the upcoming Jailbreak is compatible with iPod Touch, iPad, iPad mini, and iPhones (including iPhone 5) running iOS 6/6.01/6.02/6.1 versions.
In September, last year, just after Apple introduced Apple iOS 6, “iPhone Dev Team” introduced its Redsn0w tethered jailbreak. This jailbreak was parallel to the one released for iOS 6.0 GM proving Tethered jailbreak for limited devices. This tethered jailbreak is accessible only to A4 powered devices. Since the iPhone 5 is powered by an A6 processor, this jailbreak didn’t to work.
When we have more details regarding the upcoming untethered jailbreak, we’ll keep you updated. Stay tuned.
