The LG Optimus G Pro was officially announced in Japan in January, this year. But the South Korean mobile manufacturer kept mum when it will offer the smartphone in other markets. Now, the handset is likely to be available in South Korea. A Korean Forum “Clien” listed a leaked image of the Optimus G Pro (shown below). This image seems to point that the Optimus G Pro will be heading to South Korea very soon.
Moreover, another source has reported that it will be carried by different major carriers in the said region. South Korean carrier SK Telecom and KT will be offering the LG Optimus G Pro handset having model number LG F240S and LG F240K respectively. In addition to these carriers, LG U+ will also carry the smartphone bearing LG F240L model number on its network.
The LG Optimus G Pro is packed with a 4.7 inch display with 1280 x 768 pixels, the new LG Optimus G Pro comes with a 5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display. The handset is running Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with LTE connectivity, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a MicroSD slot which can expand the storage up to 64GB, 13MP rear camera with Flash, and a 3,000 mAh battery to run everything.
Although NTT DoCoMo customers in Japan will be able to pick up the Optimus G Pro in early April, there is no further info when South Korean customers can grab the smartphone. We’ll keep you updated.
