Another week, another Google update for the Nexus users. It looks like the rollout process of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update begin making its way to Nexus family, including the Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset, and Nexus 7 tablet. We suggest you go to your device’s settings and have it check for updates and you may download it right now. Details about the Android 4.2.2 update and screenshots show up on a Reddit discussion thread. A few days ago, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean was spotted in Google servers logs.
The Android 4.2.2 update is currently rolling out for the GSM Galaxy Nexus handset. and the its build number bumps up to JDQ39 from JOP40C. Its worth mentioning that JDQ39 build number didn’t show up in Google servers. Other than that there are no other details available for the moment, and there is no public changelog available at the moment. But, Google is expected to address a Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming issue on Nexus 7 in v4.2.2 update. Hope it also fixes the delay of waking/sleeping the device after pressing the power button. Ah, this screenshot showing MTV corp in Kernel version.
This one looks to be going out in phases, but Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 users can always check for this update manually by heading into Settings > About Phone / About Tablet > System Updates > Check Now. Many users are reporting not seeing the Android 4.2.2 update. My only advice is be patient and hope for the speedy rollout. If it does hit your handset, be sure to give us a shout in the comments below!
