Earlier this year, LG has officially introduced a Japanese version of its Optimus G Pro handset with a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display. A few days ago, a leaked live image and a specs sheet memo have suggested a different size Note II-like display for this handset, measuring at 5.5-inches. It looks like the device indeed heading to its home land with a refreshed specs sheet.
LG has officially confirmed on its Facebook account and on its Social website, that the upcoming Optimus G Pro handset will ship with 5.5-inch full HD display to the Korean markets. LG has yet to confirm other specs changes including the bigger battery (with 3,140mAh capacity), microSD card slot, a SLIM port for this device. Japanese version of the G Pro handset has a 3,000mAh battery. Otherwise, both these version have all the identical specs. The device rising from the balloons in the image above is a also looking similar to what we saw in previous leak’s live image of the Korean carrier LG U+ branded G Pro handset.
LG Optimus G Pro will have 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro inside, along with 2GB of RAM and a 13MP rear camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with LG’s custom UI on top of it. Although it isn’t yet clear whether or not the 5.5-inch G Pro will heading to the other regions as well.
