Recently, Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMO started carrying the Sony Xperia Z smartphone which was showed off by the Japanese mobile manufacturer at CES 2013 in Las Vegas. Today, from Sony Australia’s official website, it has been confirmed that the Sony Xperia Z will be available in March there. This time, we have no further info how much the device will cost but the device is expected to be available in the equal pricing range to other markets as we had found in UK.
Last month just after the official announcement of Sony’s flagship device, it was reported that the device will be available at Phones4u, UK store starting from March 1, and it will be heading to Vodafone carrier.
The Sony Xperia Z is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. It is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile and video HDR mode, NFC functionality and more. The device also comes with a high level of dust (IP5X) and water resistance (IPX5/7) and OmniBalnce design with “subtly rounded edges and smooth reflective surfaces on all sides.
Coming to the carrier, Telstra will be the carrier but Optus and Vodafone are also likely to be carrying the device. White, Black and Purple color variant of the smartphone is expected to be available in Australia.
Recently, two Finnish retailers and UK Carrier Three also started taking pre-order for the Sony Xperia Z smartphone and it is expected to be available on February 28.
