We’ve already have some big phones in the market today such as HTC Droid DNA/Butterfly, Samsung Galaxy Note/Note II, Oppo Find 5, and Huawei is set to launch a 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate phablet very soon. And now, some official information has it that ZTE is also planning something big in the coming weeks. According to the CES Press Event schedule page, the Chinese manufacturer will unveil the ZTE Grand S phablet in a press event at CES 2013 in Las Vegas in next January. It’s an open invite to all its fans to attend the event on January 8th, 2013.
In case you are wondering, the yet-to-be announced ZTE Grand S is a 5-inch beast with 1080p (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD resolution. The folks over Engadget have presented us a leaked press shot of the Grand S handset. Unfortunately, we don’t know much regarding the hardware specifications of the handset right now. All we now that it will be running Android OS with latest version of Jelly Bean build. ZTE is saying that it will be slimmest handset and reportedly the worlds thinnest 5-inch FHD smartphone to date.
The ZTE Grand S should be shipped equipped with a quad-core processor under the hood. As you can see in the below image of the concept drawing of the Grand S (shared by ZTE), the phone’s back camera has got a big bump and there’s a logo of the manufacturer on its back side. Hopefully, we will learn more about it when it launches on January 8th.
