NEC Corporation and NEC Casio Mobile Communications will show case a number of devices at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 event which will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 25 – 28.
At the event, the Japanese manufacturer is preparing to show off the following devices:
# MEDIAS TAB UL N-08D tablet
# Cloud Communicator LT-L tablet
# MEDIAS W N-05E Smartphone
# MEDIAS Χ N-04E Smartphone and
# MEDIAS U N-02E Smartphone
The 7-inch MEDIAS TAB UL N-08D tablet is the world’s lightest tablet. It weighs around 249g and measures 7.9mm in thickness. The MEDIAS TAB UL N-08D can give a dramatically better user experience in playing games and typing on a virtual keyboard.
Another tablet, LT-L is packed with a 10.1-inch high-resolution LCD screen and a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. It has an improved security functions and an HDMI output terminal. In addition to the above tablets, NEC is planning to showcase three new smartphones, MEDIAS W N-05E, MEDIAS Χ N-04E and MEDIAS U N-02E. All the smartphones support high-speed LTE Xi (crossy) communications.
MEDIAS W N-05E has two screen displays which can enable both the convenience of portability and the visibility of a large, 5.6-inch display when opened it and a 4.3-inch when closed. So, the dual-screen can allow browsing two websites at the same time.
The MEDIAS Χ N-04E smartphone is packed with a 4.7-inch organic HD EL display with a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU. It supports wireless charging capability.
The MEDIAS U N-02E supports a waterproof level of (IPX5/8) and a dust-proof level of (IP5X).
Yet, there’s no info about the official price tag and worldwide availability of the devices. We’ll keep you posted.
