Last week, we reported that Sony’s flagship device Xperia Z smartphone will be made available in March. But at that time, the manufacturer kept mum regarding the official price tag of the device in Australia. This time, Sony has started taking pre-order for the unlocked Sony Xperia Z smartphone for $749 in Australia. Sony will charge you an extra $9.95 for shipping the smartphone. But there’s no further info when the device will be shipped.
In UK, the device will be available at Phones4u store starting from March 1 and it will be heading to Vodafone.
The Sony Xperia Z is running Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. It is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile and video HDR mode, NFC functionality and more. The device also comes with a high level of dust (IP5X) and water resistance (IPX5/7).
Coming to the color variant, Sony will offer you only Black color for the device as of now in the said region. The Sony Xperia Z smartphone is expected to be carried by different carriers, Telstra, Vodafone Australia, and Optus. Optus will reportedly offer the Xperia Z in mid-March. The device is expected to be released globally in first quarter of this year.
