JATE stands for Japan Approvals institute for Telecommunications Equipment and without its approval, no wired or wireless device is going to be launched in Japan. Well the good news for Japanese Nexus 4 fans is that the device has been approved by JATE. Hence it is obvious that the device is coming to Japan soon.
Nexus 4 has been quite popular as it is available unlocked – free from contracts at a reasonable price and its performance is on par with the high-end devices. Well it is also quite notorious regarding its availability in different parts of the world. It is currently available in US, UK, Spain, France, Germany, Australia, and Canada through the Google Play Store. It is worth notable that the device went out of stock within minutes of launch and went without proper stock availability until the January 28 this year.
With the stock of the Nexus 4 stabilizing, Google and LG are surely planning of releasing in the Japanese market soon. Hence the approvals required are getting on the line. JATE has approved the LG made Nexus 4 E960 on Feb 5, 2013.
