Last month, HTC announced the HTC One smartphone and it is packed with many salient high-end specs and features. Among the features, the most remarkable one is the newest version of HTC’s Sense 5 Custom User interface.
The Sense 5 skin is much simpler than previous versions of HTC Sense. It includes a number of features like Blinkfeed, Flipboard-style widget for stories, photos and social updates. But we didn’t have further info whether this newest interface will be available to other HTC Devices or not. This time, the Taiwanese manufacturer has confirmed that the HTC Sense 5 UI will be available to HTC’s selective devices including the international variants of the HTC One X, One X+, One S, and HTC Butterfly. The confirmation was listed on a Facebook page, in response to a question asking whether Sense 5 would come to the HTC One X. The response of HTC is shown below in the screenshot.
However HTC didn’t reveal the exact date to roll out the update, but it is clear that it will be available in the next few months.
It is further revealed that although the new Sense user interface is introduced to HTC’s selective devices, but some features available in the HTC One will not be available in the updates to other devices.
We’ll let you know when the update is available to the devices.
