The Sony Xperia L and Xperia SP smartphones have been officially launched for Chinese markets. The Sony Xperia SP (M35h) will reportedly be carried by China Unicom in the region. Sony Xperia L (S36h) will be carried by China Telecom in addition to the Xperia SP bearing model number M35c.
China Telecom’s Xperia SP will be available in Red, Black and White silver. Besides the colors, Pink will also be a new variant of the Xperia SP. The Pink color will probably be an attractive option for ladies. Since China Telecom’s Xperia SP smartphone supports CDMA, it has reportedly been confirmed that it support two networks (dual-SIM capability).
Sony Xperia L and SP were announced in the UK and the devices are already available for pre-order at £195 (US$ 296) and £314.40 inc. VAT (US$ 479) respectively. Sony Xperia SP is Sony’s latest mid-range smartphone which is powered by Google’s Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. It sports 8MP Exmor RS rear-facing camera and supports LTE connectivity. The Sony Xperia L is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It features a 4.3-inch FWVGA display and 8MP Exmor RS camera. The smartphone is very similar to the Xperia Arc series.
Despite the fact that the devices are claimed to be available in China, exact date of announcement and its pricing info are not announced yet. We’ll keep you updated.
