Facebook has started sending out invitations for an event on April 4, carrying the slogan “Come see our new home on Android”. The Android related event will take place at 1PM ET (10AM PT). But, it is still unknown what Facebook will be introducing is related to Facebook’s Android app or Facebook phone powered by Android OS.
We have seen a number of reports regarding the development of Facebook Phone. The device’s model number is claimed to be HTC Opera UL which was listed as an “OEM product” for Facebook. It seems as if HTC is manufacturing the device for another company like HTC made the Nexus One for Google.
Facebook phone is expected to sport a 720p high resolution screen, a 1.4GHz CPU (it may come with a dual-core S4) and an Adreno 305 GPU.
It is worth notable that in a Press event in January this year, we expected that Facebook will announce something related to mobile devices such as a Facebook phone, or a new Facebook Mobile OS at the event but it didn’t unveil neither phone nor OS at that event except the new Graph search feature.
