Back in February, LG announced the LG Optimus G Pro and it started offering the smartphone in Korea. The Optimus G Pro sales are reported to be extremely high.
The mobile manufacturer got 10,000 orders for the smartphone at the time of launch and half a million of the smartphone sold in just 40 days.

The smartphone has high-end specifications and solid hardware under the hood. It is packed with the powerful 1.7GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor running Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a MicroSD slot which can expand the storage up to 64GB, 13MP rear camera with Flash, and a 3,000 mAh battery to run everything.
Another alluring feature is the Optimus G Pro has an advanced UX features, such as Dual Recording and Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama.
In addition to the above specs, LG already confirmed that the Smart Video Eye Recognition feature will be rolled out to the Optimus G Pro in Korea this month as a part of a Value Pack update. This upcoming feature could be one of the attractive points to increase the number of sales. The device will also be getting the following features: Dual capture Camera feature which can capture images using the front and back cameras simultaneously, Magic Remote Keypad, Text Keypad, A set of color emoticons, QRemote app, and more. It is expected that the number of orders for the device will be tremendously increased when the new features are introduced.
In the US, since the smartphone was already approved by the FCC, it is sure that the LG Optimus G Pro (E980 ) will be heading to the region. It is expected to be carried by AT&T since the LTE band frequency of the device is compatible with the carrier.
