At Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas, along with LTE handsets, LTE tablets, Verizon has introduced its new Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot, which will be available under its 4G LTE Mobile Broadband Network.
4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is dual-mode and it can act as a wireless access point to connect for up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices al at the same time, such as laptops, tablets, e-readers, or gaming devices and the speeds will be ten times faster than 3G speeds in 4G LTE regions. Since it is Verizon’s 4G LTE Broadband network, we can assume the download speeds up to 5 –12 Mbps and upload rates to be up to 2-5 Mbps range. And other good thing about this dual-mode device is that Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will also be backwards compatible with Big Red’s 3G network.
