Earlier this year, vivo has announced its foldable smartphone X Fold for the Chinese market. The company is now aiming at the quickly growing Chinese foldable market.
There were enough leaks and rumors to know that vivo is planning to launch its next generation foldable smartphone called X Fold+. This is supposed to be a slightly upgraded version which is also rumored to be named vivo X Fold S. Today the phone vivo X Fold+ 5G phone was appeared with model number V2229A on TENAA to get certified for sale in China. Listing on TENAA has confirmed the battery of the X Fold+ handset, capped at 4,600mAh capacity. That means there will be a combination of two 2,300mAh batteries.
As the name implies, the device will have 5G connectivity modem on the board supporting N1, N28, N41, N78 and N79 5G bands. X Fold+ will ship with Android 12 OS with FunTouch UI integration out of the box. A recent Geekbench listing hints that the device will be equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and it has 12GB RAM with 256GB/512GB internal storage.
Based on the previous rumors, the vivo X Fold+ may sports a paid of 120Hz refresh rated displays – 8.03-inch inner foldable AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 6.53-inch Full HD+ outer display. In camera department, there could be a triple camera system on back including a 50MP main camera coupled with 12MP 2x optical zoom portrait camera and 8MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, while 16MP camera on the front side lets you take the selfies. However, vivo will launch this foldable device very soon in China.
