We’ve gathered enough data from leaks and rumors to know what to expect from the next foldable flagship smartphone from vivo. We just learned that the vivo X Fold+ will be coming in two colors and we’ve also seen the official renders of the device. The company scheduled an official announcement for early next week.
vivo has sent the invitations the launch event of the X Fold+ handset will be held in China on September 26 at 7PM local time. vivo claims “+” in the X Fold+ means “strong will evolve in a strong way.”
The vivo X Fold+ is supposed to retain a couple of 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED screens on the inside and the outside. It features an an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED display on the inside. On the outside, the device will sport a 6.53-inch curved-edge AMOLED cover display and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on both screens. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset power the entire device, along with a ZEISS optics equipped 50MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide camera, 12-megapixel portrait sensor, and an 8-mega pixel periscope camera. There is a 4,600mAh battery with 80W wired charging capability and users can take advantage of the 12GB with 512GB internal storage under the hood.
Based on the leaked renders, the vivo X Fold+ is carrying the identical looks of the first X Fold smartphone and coming in a new Huaxia Red edition. Let’s wait for the official launch to learn more about this device.
