Xiaomi launched the Civi smartphone exactly one year ago, and today the company confirmed on its Weibo channel that it will unveil the gen civi handset, the Xiaomi Civi 2 on September 27th. This would be the latest mid-ranger Android phone from the company.
The new Xiaomi Civi 2 brings back the lightweight design and the same visual appearance as the last year’s Civi handset. It will also retain the FHD+ 120Hz OLED display from the first its successor. Based on the invitation poster, the Civi 2 is also supposed to have a so-called Trend Partner in the face of “Hello Kitty”.
The source claims that this device will be a thin and light selfie-centric phone, focusing on improvements to selfie portraits with several software features. The Civi 2 is rumored to have a 50MP triple camera setup including an ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
As of now, we don’t have any formation about the selfie camera of this handset. But it does flaunt a punch-hole AMOLED display with curved edges measuring 6.56-inch with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Civi 2 should ship with Android 12 OS, which will be on top of the MIUI 13 skin.
The availability and pricing will be announced at the upcoming event. We believe that the Xiaomi Civi 2 will also remain exclusive to Mainland China only like its predecessor. But, we hope they have some plans to launch it globally this time.
