Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have been “3C” certified in China. This is the agency that all the electronic devices made in China or devices imported into China must have the China Compulsory Certificate mark with “3C” logo. The listing has confirmed both the SM-S9100 (Galaxy S23) and SM-S9160 (Galaxy S23+) are meant to be sold in the China-exclusive markets.
According to the 3C website, both the Galaxy S23 and S23+ model’s are certified with the same EP-TA800 charger with support up to 25W charging speeds just like their predecessors. A couple of days ago, the top-tier Galaxy S23 Ultra has also been listed for 3C certification to support a maximum of 25W charging (11V @ 2.25A), while the current Galaxy S22 Ultra handset features 45W fast charging support. We believe the international models of the Galaxy S22 Ultra will support 45W higher charging speeds.
Recent reports are stating that there will be no major upgrade happening for the upcoming Galaxy S23 and S23+ in terms of the specifications. They will mostly be similar to the last year introduced S22 and S22+ models. The only notable change would be the upgrade to a newer more powerful chipset under the hood. The next generation Galaxy flagships will be shipping with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Specs wise, the Galaxy S23 is rumored to have a 6.1-inch FHD+ display, and you will be greeted with a bigger 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen on Galaxy S23+ model. Now that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is going to be announced in November by QUALCOMM, and the 3C certification is complete for next Galaxy flagship, Samsung should be heading towards to take wraps off of this long-awaited series in a couple of months.
