As teased earlier, Xiaomi officially launched the new Redmi Pad tablet today for Indian markets. We also saw its early unboxing video online, which details everything about it. It packs in a slim body with a 2K screen, powered by a MediaTek processor. It will be available in stores from tomorrow, October 5th.
The Redmi Pad comes with a 10.61-inch 10-bit LCD screen with a resolution up to 2000x1200px, and it delivers a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness. It also got TUV Rheinland low blue light certification. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 6nm octa-core processor, combined with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot, and it runs Android 12 with MIUI 13 for Pad OS.
In the camera department, it packs an 8-megapixel camera on the back side and another 8-megapixel camera with 105° FOV on the front. It also got quad speakers with Dolby Atmos integration, a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and the entire body is fueled by an 8,000mAh battery with 18W charging speeds, and the tablet can last up to over 24 hours on a single charge.
The Redmi Pad will be available to purchase in graphite gray, mint green, and midnight silver with prices starting at Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB + 64GB model, Rs. 17,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model, while the 6GB + 128GB variant goes for Rs. 19,999. As a launching offer, it will be sold out for Rs. 12,999, Rs. 14,999, and Rs. 16,999, respectively for a limited period. Bank of Baroda is also offering a 10% instant discount (up to Rs. 5,000) on mi.com.
