It seems Google will soon launch its next A-series phone in its Pixel line. Leaks have recently started spilling details about the upcoming budget-friendly Pixel 7a. The reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) had the courtesy to give us a glimpse at what the next midrange Pixel phone may look like. He has leaked a bunch of rendered images of the Pixel 7a, and they definitely look like they might be the real deal.
According to the latest intel from the source, the Pixel 7a will measure 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm, which is vastly identical to the Pixel 6a’s measurements: 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.9mm. The budget-friendly Pixel 7a looks almost similar to the standard Pixel 7. It seems to feature the same silver-colored camera strip on its backside that makes room for two cameras and a flash, along with a hole-punch selfie camera on the front. We guess the Pixel 7a will have a smaller display than the vanilla Pixel 7.
Previous rumors suggested that the Pixel 7a, code-named “lynx,” is expected to ship with a 90 Hz FHD+ display panel made by Samsung, Sony-made IMX787 (wide angle) and IMX712 (ultra-wide) lenses for the rear cameras, 5W wireless charging support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Google’s Tensor chipset with Qualcomm’s Wi-Fi 6E/Bluetooth setup, and a body made of ceramic.
As a matter of course, the Pixel 7a will hit markets with Android 13 out of the box, with all the same Android-based perks as the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which launched last month. There’s no word on when the Pixel 7a will be released. Check out all the CAD renders by following the link below.
