Honor is preparing to announce the Honor 80 GT and Pad V8 Pro in China on December 26th. While we’re probably most excited about these both high-end devices, we’ve also been looking forward to new developments on the mid-range Android devices. Just yesterday, we saw Honor X5 has been announced for global markets, which is a more budget-friendly alternative. The manufacturer is also preparing to announce Honor X9a 5G handset on January 4th.
It comes as no surprise that the company is also planning to release another entry level handset called Honor X7a handset. It would be the successor of the Snapdragon 680-powered Honor X7, which launched earlier this year in Match. Honor X7a’s Press images and specifications have leaked today courtesy of Steve from @OnLeaks, and they reveal almost everything about the phone.
As you can see in the images, the right side of the device appears to feature the power and volume control buttons, while the bottom frame houses 3.5mm headset jack, a microphone, USB-C port for charging the phone, and speaker grill. On the front, the display has a punched notch for a selfie camera, and a total of four cameras are tucked in a quad camera setup on the back side of the device. It definitely comes with a fingerprint reader, which is located on the power button of the device. Here is the list of the specifications, detailed by the source:
- 6.7 inch LCD panel with 1600x720px resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek MT6765H chipset
- 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage
- Android 12 OS
- Rear cams: 50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP telephoto units
- 8MP front facing camera
- Side-mounted fingerprint sensor
- 5,230mAh battery
The Honor X7a will be sold in two color variants – Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. There is no word on price, and global availability of this handset yet. Time will tell.
