ZTE’s sister company, nubia has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones lineup – the Red Magic 8 Pro and Red Magic 8 Pro+, at an event in China. Both these phones can be referred to as a kind of powerhouse, which are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired up with OLED displays.
Red Magic 8 series offer supercharged performance, powerful specs and other useful extras for those wanting the very best performance from their gaming mobile phones. Each phone has got robust thermal management mechanism with a built-in ICE 11.0 magic cooling fan, along with the largest volume of 2068 mm³ VC liquid cooling, graphene under the screen and up to 10 layers of cooling materials to let the temperature of the handset drops by 16° C.
Both the Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+ feature a 6.8 inch OLED display that boasts 2480 x 1116 pixel resolution, 97.3%screen to body ratio and a high 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, you will get Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 8/12GB RAM+128/256GB storage (8 Pro), and up to 12/16GB RAM+256/512/1TB storage (8 Pro+).
For photography, both phones got a triple camera setup on the rear side, which includes 50MP 1/1.57 Samsung GN5 sensor, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 16 megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls.
The top end Red Magic 8 Pro can last up to 47 hours on a single charge, which is backed up by a large 6,000mAh battery pack with 80W fast charging capability. On the other hand, the Red Magic 8 Pro+ model packs a 5,000mAh battery pack while its charging rate is more than doubled with a 165W fast charging functionality. Both devices have an ultra linear dual stereo speakers setup that supports Snapdragon sound, 96kHz lossless audio, and 48ms low latency.
