The Samsung Galaxy S23 probably isn’t coming until early February 2023, but you can see what it will look like and what it will have onboard, thanks to the reliable sources and recently leaked official promotional images. Samsung has been upgrading its bunch of Galaxy devices to the latest One UI 5.0 build, along with Android 13 OS goodies.
According to the latest report, Samsung is currently testing One UI 5.1 build, successor of One UI 5.0. The source also claimed that One UI 5.1 may in fact make its first appearance on the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
The Korean brand is currently testing One UI 5.1 build for the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra with the firmware version S90xEXXU2CVL7 (the alphabet “x” refers to a different number depending on model). The same test firmware has also been spotted on Samsung’s servers, and it is safe to assume that Samsung would release the One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy S22 family a few days after the Galaxy S23 series launches.
Samsung’s One UI 5.1 build is expected to bring some minor changes. The list of the improvements are including new lock screen customizing options, We also expect to see Android 13’s new media player widget design in the notifications area, as well as the predictive back gesture, partial screen mirroring, and taskbar improvements.
