The January 2023 security update has arrived for those with still-supported devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 10 in European countries. This update should be a typical bug-fixer type of the month.
The latest software update with security patches for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+, carrying the new firmware version N970FXXS8HVL3, is currently being rolled out in Switzerland. The update will be reaching the all other European countries in the coming days, and the rest of the world should probably be getting it by the end of this month.
Galaxy 10 series made its debut in 2019 running with Android 9 OS onboard. Later it got upgraded to Android 10 build in early 2020, and received the Android 11 update at the end of 2020. This series also received the One UI 4 update based on Android 12 in late 2021. Android 13 isn’t eligible for this series.

If you happen to live in Switzerland and own any of the Galaxy S21 or Galaxy Note 10 smartphones, you can try your luck by manually hecking for the update. Samsung should begin pushing these updates shortly over-the-air – Settings >> Software update >> Download and Install. Samsung has not yet detailed which security flaws are fixed by this January 2023 security patch. We guess it brings general bug fixes, security patches, along with the device stability improvements.
