We’ve been hearing the codename “Dakota” for a BlackBerry phone for a while now. The Bold 9000 sized, 3G, Touchscreen device with a full QWERTY keyboard. But now the folks over BGR got the first clear picture of BlackBerry Dakota, and presented some specifications too and it would be turning out to be Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE smartphone with Tri-band UMTS and even it is going to have an NFC chip like Nexus S device and a Magnetometer.
Ok..specifications wise, it is going to packed in 10.5mm thin body and have 2.8 inch VGA capacitive screen with 640×480 pixels of resolution and running with BlackBerry 6.1 OS, 5 Megapixels camera for HD shooting with image stabilization & flash, 768MB RAM, 3G mobile hotspot, Bluetooth, Micro USB port, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, 4GB un-built storage, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and more on the board.
Hopefully some more details will turn up soon. In the meantime, what do you all think of the concept? Liking the concept of a BlackBerry that’s half touchscreen, half physical keyboard with a host of high-end specs?
