Pixel Phones Getting January 2023 Android Security Update

Google started 2023 by rolling out the January Android security patch for its Pixel series. Samsung also kicked off its new year by releasing the January security patch for the Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Note 10 series phones. Google’s Android 13 January security update is now available for the Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

This is a minor bug fixer, focusing on security patches. However, Google notes that “no critical security vulnerabilities affecting the Android platform were publicly disclosed without a security update or mitigation available for Android devices.”
