Samsung was expected to launch the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A24 handsets in India next week. The manufacturer even started teasing on a dedicated webpage about the launch of the Galaxy A series of phones for India.
Based on the source code of that webpage, Samsung is indeed preparing to launch both the Galaxy A14, and Galaxy A23 handsets in India. Six months ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy A23 for $300 for the US markets, while the Galaxy A14 went official for $200 in last week for the US and other parts of the world. Both these phones will be launched on January 18th for the Indian markets.
The Galaxy A23 sits on a massive 6.6″ FHD+ LCD panel, and the real highlight is its refresh rate, which goes up to 120Hz, providing a smoother experience than what you’ll find on the A14’s 90Hz display.
Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 695, which offers some solid improvements over the Dimensity 700 chipset found in the A13. Although performance on that phone was far from bad, this chip should provide faster app loading times, improved gameplay, and longer battery life. Despite the upgrade to 120Hz, the 5,000mAh battery should get you through a full day of usage — and potentially, well into another.
The back of the phone includes a 50MP rear camera with OIS, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. Around the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera. The device has 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, and a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy A14 5G boasts a 6.6-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, running on the Exynos 1330 chipset with 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. Up front, you’ll find an upgraded 13MP lens for selfies. Along with Bluetooth 5.1, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, it is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging capability, and it naturally boots Android 13 based One UI 5.0.
