Nothing Phone (1) released in the US for $299 Beta Program

Nothing Phone (1) can be purchased in the US under a strange and confusing Beta “Membership” program. After a long wait, Nothing finally announced today that the “Nothing OS 1.5 Beta Membership” is now available to interested customers in the United States, who will be able to test out Android 13 for the Nothing Phone (1) ahead of its final release.

You can participate in the beta program for $299, then you will get a black version of Nothing Phone (1) with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Please keep in mind that you won’t be getting any monthly or yearly benefits that you would typically get by associating with a membership program. You will just buy it for $299 and use it across the United States. It ships preinstalled with Nothing OS 1.5 with Android 13 goodies.

Nothing says:

Purchase to test our new Phone (1) Beta software and get exclusive access to Nothing perks. Your opportunity to experience Phone (1) at its most advanced, with Nothing OS 1.5, powered by Android 13.

It has dual 50-megapixel rear cameras (Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS and EIS + Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor), 16MP front camera for selfies, backed up by a 4500mAh battery with 33W wired PD charging and 15W wireless charging, 5W reverse charging, fingerprint reader, facial unlocking capability, IP53 rating, dual SIM support, and dual stereo speakers.

It’s worth mentioning that this device won’t work on 5G at Verizon or AT&T in the US. Here’s a list of the official carrier support for the Nothing Phone (1) in the US:

AT&T

  • LTE Bands: 2/4/5/12/17/26/66
  • 5G Bands: not supported

  • 5G Bands: N5/N41

This is a proper retail unit, not a “beta” phone. Please be aware that the company “won’t be held responsible for malfunction” of the Phone (1), since it is running beta software. In any case, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the phone within 14 days and get your refund. Hit the below source link to buy and test it.
