Motorola Xoom to sell for $599.99 on contract from Feb 24th; LTE upgradability in Q2; $20 per month for 1GB data

It’s official. Here we’ve the official source from the Verizon Wireless about the pricing details of the World’s first ever Honeycomb tablet, the Motorola Xoom. The tablet will be releasing on February 24th and it will cost you $599.99 with a two-year service contract or the unsubsidized $799.99 without a contract.

Verizon also confirmed that the 3G data service for the Motorola Xoom will start at $20 per month for 1GB of data and the tablet will be upgradeable to 4G LTE in the second quarter of this year for Free. We don’t pricing source for the 4G data plan for the Motorola Xoom.

We’ve already reported that the Motorola Xoom will ship without Flash support at the time of launch and Verizon notes that the service will be “available soon as a free download” (not long after the launch).

Motorola XOOM comes with 10.1” HD display,with 1280 x 800 resolution, 5 Megapixels rear camera with 720p HD video capture and a 2 Megapixels front-side camera for video calling and it gives full 1080p HD support with HDMI-out port and full host of Google services, Android Market, a healthy 32GB of onboard storage, micro-SD card slot support and so on. Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz & Wi-Fi 5GHz 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and much more features on the device.
