The Samsung-made T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is an Android powered smartphone that runs under T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network..
The Sidekick 4G comes with Android 2.2 Froyo OS, running on 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, sporting a 3.5 inch WVGA touch screen, equipped with a 5-row QWERTY keyboard (with “pop-tilt” hinge), 3.15 MP rear-facing camera with Auto focus and a front-facing VGA camera for video chatting via Qik services. T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is also 4G capable and can hit theoretical download speeds of 21Mbps, along with Qik video calling, DriveSmart texting-while-driving lockout functionality, and Sidekick Group Text and Cloud Text, pre-installed Twitter, Android Market, full host of Google, T-Mobile and Samsung services.
For full entertainment, it features a Media Room, which lets you to find and organize all your music, videos, and movies, as well as apps like Slacker Radio, YouTube, and T-Mobile TV, compatible with Samsung’s Media Hub video store (with shows from CBS, Fox, MTV, NBC, Paramount and Warner Bros) to rent and buy movies.

For your information, Sidekick’s “Group Text” feature will let customers create, name, manage and participate in reply-all group text conversations, while the “Cloud Text” provides an option to text friends/family across platforms, from the home PC or from the Sidekick 4G handset.
Price & Availability
T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will be available later this spring in either pearl magenta or matte black through the T-Mobile stores. It will hit the markets for for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and two-year contract with unlimited data. If you want to choose the lower-end data plan along with 2-yr contract, it will cost you $149.99.
