LG Thrill 4G is the U.S. version of the LG Optimus 3D and it is the first U.S. smartphone with glasses-free 3D display with 4G support on AT&T’s 4G network.
LG Thrill 4G comes with Android 2.2 Froyo OS and later it will be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It runs on a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4 processor, sporting a 4.3″ display with glasses-free stereoscopic 3D (480 x 800), equipped with the two 5 Megapixels cameras on the back of the phone can record stereoscopic 3D video at HD resolution – 720p HD video in 3D, 1080p HD video in 2D, and an additional front-facing camera, 16GB of preloaded memory (8GB on-board, 8GB micro-SD card), access to Google’s Android Market and a special 3D marketplace for LG 3D Space, HDMI 1.4 output, DLNA streaming support, Bluetooth 3.0and powered by 1500mAh battery.
LG Thrill 4G also pre-installed with YouTube 3D app, which lets the users to upload the captured 3D videos directly to YouTube. Users if not interested in 3D specific features, the 3D screen overlays can be turned off temporarily.
