Late yesterday, Sprint has officially announced the Samsung-made Google Nexus S 4G smartphone. Shortly after Sprint’s announcement, Best Buy has announced that it will start taking pre-orders for Sprint branded Nexus S 4G.
Best Buy Mobile stores and online stores will be selling the handset and there is no word on Best Buy pricing yet. According to sources, users can place an order on Nexus S 4G with a $59 deposit, and later the deposit will be implemented to the final price. Nexus S 4G is capable of both CDMA / EV-DO and 4G WiMAX connectivity and due to these two radios, it’s a bit thicker and heavier than the original Nexus S.
Nexus S 4G runs with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, sporting a 4-inch Contour Display, along with support for Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing camera for video calling, 16GB of internal memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Google Voice features, Android Market, access for Amazon Appstore and much more.
