It’s been a long time rumored and confirmed that the highly-anticipated Verizon branded Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, the PlayStation gaming smartphone, which was launched at MWC 2011 event. According the leaked out Verizon Spring roadmap, Xperia Play is set to release on 14th of April through the Verizon carrier.
The Xperia Play will feature Android 2.3, and will be able to play games via the PlayStation Suite, sporting a 4” 854×480 screen, running on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, quipped with a 5 Megapixels camera and an additional front-facing camera, Time Scape UI, PSP like gaming buttons on the side sliding board, Media Scape UI, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, 512MB RAM, 400MB internal memory, 8GB micro-SD card inserted, scope for memory expansion up to 32GB, Android Market and more.
There will be 50 titles available at launch and the phone will come with Asphalt Adrenaline 6, Bruce Lee, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, and Tetris preloaded.
