Samsung has launched yesterday its first 4G LTE-enabled mobile phone, Samsung Craft on MetroPCS. It is the world’s first LTE phone launched. It has designed specifically to take advantage of the latest LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology and it works on both CDMA and LTE networks. LTE network products offer flexible bandwidth support of from 1.4-MHz to 20-MHz. MetroPCS became the first wireless carrier in the United States to offer 4G LTE services Tuesday with an official commercial launch in Las Vegas.
Samsung Craft powered by 4G LTE technology features 3.3 inch WVGA (800×480) resolution AMOLED touch screen display, 4G, QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 Megapixels(2592 x 1944 pixels) with auto focus & LED flash, Wi-Fi, radio, dual-mode CDMA EVDO/LTE support, 2GB built-in and microSD expansion slot up to 32GB, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1.
The Samsung Craft 4G has a similar design of the Samsung Epic 4G, which has released previously on Sprint possessing same horizontal-Qwerty keyboard slider, 4G / WiMAX and the major external change is camera. The Craft includes a Ceva DSP core according to a spokesperson for Ceva.
