Just two days after we saw Big Red’s Windows Phone 7 powered HTC Trophy appear on Best Buy’s website, marked with a price tag of $599.99, we came to know another interesting news regarding this handset. Since the last year, rumors have been circling around that Big Red is set to release the Windows Phone 7 powered HTC Trophy this quarter, but the carrier has yet to make an official announcement.
Now a leaked Verizon document has revealed that the HTC Trophy will be a global device and the folks over WPCentral have reported that Verizon may launch it on May 12th. An image of HTC Trophy, posing with Verizon logo was leaked in late February. It’s also confirmed that Verizon employees are starting to undergo training for Windows Phone 7 since yesterday. All these sources are suggesting that an imminent release of HTC Trophy is possible and May 12th may be the date for this handset to land on Verizon.
HTC Trophy is having a 5MP camera with LED flash, 720p HD video recording capability, Qualcomm’s 1GHz CPU, 3.8 inch Super LCD display, 16GB storage, pre-installed with Microsoft’s “NoDo” software update, providing copy and paste functionality.
