A few days ago, we came to know that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update would be rolling out in this summer for the T-Mobile G2 handset. We are still waiting for an official announcement. It seems HTC is getting closer and closer to release the Gingerbread update for T-Mobile G2, according to a leaked flyer being sent around to T-Mobile employees, which is showing T-Mobile advertising the soon-to-arrive Gingerbread update.
The flyer is stating that "G2 gets Gingerbread love", which is suggesting that the update is coming very soon. After upgrading to Gingerbread, T-Mobile G2 will get better power management aka better battery life and more intuitive text input, along with the some UI improvements according to the flyer.
We guess that the update arrive by the end of June on T-Mobile HTC G2. T-Mobile G2 is a variation of the European-based Desire Z, which is already on track to receive the Android 2.3 update this year.
